Abstract

Acquired melanocytic naevi are the most frequent benign melanocytic lesions. Its not Infrequent their apparition in the foot, because its necessary establish differential rules with other lesion like malign melanoma, whose incidence actually is increasing considerably. On that score, is important stand out that acquired naevi degenerates rarely, and those who are located on plantar surface and interfering with pressure don’t represent more risk to malignance than others located on different areas. We present the case of 46 years-old female patient who present a melanocytic lesion on the sole of the left foot, with suspicious appearance and which was excisioned and sent to histological exam, with the purpose to discard a possibly malignant implication.
