Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic and inflammatory disease of the skin that has repercussion in the foot. There are a variety of treatments, but in the last times, finding of immunological mechanisms mediated by T lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of psoriasis, has enabled the creation of new drugs through recombinant DNA technology, capable of blocking specific steps of plaques of psoriasis. The role of Podiatrist, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, is to supplement the therapeutic action alongside other professionals and thus contribute to improving the quality of life of these patients.
