Resumen

Nuestro objetivo consistirá en entender el proceso innovador desde una triple vertiente: la identificación de la estrategia competitiva más adecuada en un contexto innovador; el papel mediador que el desarrollo de los recursos humanos ejerce entre estrategia y resultados y, finalmente, el papel decisivo de los recursos humanos en el desarrollo de la flexibilidad organizativa para este tipo de organizaciones. Por tanto, estrategia, desarrollo de los recursos humanos y flexibilidad soportarán las hipótesis de este trabajo. Los resultados, en el sector de biotecnología canadiense, muestran que las empresas que siguen una estrategia �first movers� obtienen mejores resultados de innovación y que las prácticas de recursos humanos ejercen una influencia fundamental a la hora de generar flexibilidad organizativa en este tipo de organizaciones
