Abstract
This paper analizes the regional distribution of R&D activities, and her results, realized at Spain. The study points out the existence of an important geographical concentration of these activities. Likewise, it emphasizes the close associotion between indicators of R&D and the scientific and technologicals results, showing a map where Madrid outlines over the rest of regions, standing Cataluña, Pais Vasco and Navarra in a second position, and the rest are marginals. The existence of innovatories firms is the most important factor for the situation of the diferents regions. For that, at the end of the paper it's analized the innovatories features and behaviour of such firms from the data of the IAIF-CDTI survey, and it's pointed out the interregionals differences in these factors.
