Abstract
This paper is intended to reflect on the main causes of the lack of research on women's political culture and on their processes of political learning. Therefore, three different issues will be taken into consideration. First of all, the reasons that explain why the classical model of politi-cal culture didn't develop a field of re-search on women and political culture. The second section will draw on the recent contributions of R. Inglehart and P. Norris, whose analysis on cultural change has focused on the role of women's change of values and of political cultures. Finally, I identify some specificities of the political culture in Spain, and develop a brief analysis of the differences between the way in which Spanish men and wom-en conceive their civic bond.
