Resumen

In this article I propose an analysis of the mi Italian sentences, like Mi faccio una birra; Mi vendo casa. I suggest that these sentences must be regarded as medial ones. In the central part of this article (§1 and §2) I analyze the mi-sentences and I try to demonstrate that these sentences exemplify a new strategy to express the subjectivity in Italian. In the last part (§ 3) I propose a short proposal on the origins of the mi-sentences.
