Résumé

As a consequence of the unethical behaviour of certain big companies, the scepticism of the citizens about corporations has grown. Particularly the financial sector has been affected, producing relevant damages in the corporate reputation of the global industry. Banks, as other companies, have published in the last decades their mission statements and corporate values, making an effort to fit them to the current social trends: social responsibility and high priority of environmental issues. However, bank customers are not aware of their corporate social responsibility programmes, and that these programmes do not seem to have impact on customer satisfaction.
