Abstract
The mineralization of the Mónica in the Guadarrama Mountains, is studied. The wall rocks, morphology and disposition of the mineralization, as well the metallogenic aspects: paragenesis and mineral sequence are examined here. Seven different textural types have been distinguished: emulsion textures, intergranular films, grain boundary, lamellar textures, zoning, lattice textures and others. The deposit is classified as hydrothermal-plutonic with a wide temperature range, as a consequence of the geological and the metallogenic study, as well the origin und temperature of the exsolutions. Finally, implications of textures on a possible industrial treatament of the ore is analized.
