Zusammenfassung
This paper, based in published literature, is presented as a synthesis of the lead-zinc ores in carbonate rocks. Firstly, aspects like distribution in the world, tectonic setting, types of host rocks, characteristics of the ores, and fluid inclusion and isotopic data are defined. Finally, we consider the evolution of the genetic ideas on the origin of this type of ores and the situation at the present-day with the two main genetic hipotheses: the syngenetic theory and the epigenetic one.
