Abstract
This article presents some thoughts about the linkages between two research areas: the class analysis and the political culture. The objective is to whether to study in depth middle class political cultures in Ibero-America could contribute to understanding its relationship with the political sphere and furthermore its role as a democratic public life actor. Starting form a lack of communication between both fields, the article revises some recent publications about middle class transformation in current societies and analyses some results of opinion surveys about political culture carried out in Spain and Latin America.
