Resumen

A systematic study about the effect of organic dye (acid Fuchin) on the growth habit of K2 SO4 has been carried out. The effect of the concentration of dye has been main variable studied. A considerable cualitative change of the growth mechanism has been stated above a critical concentration of impurities. The growth rates for several crystal faces from pures K2 SO4 water solutions as well as from acid Fuchin K2 SO4 water solutions has been measured and discused. Finally, the structural relationshisps between crystal and impurity have been studied an hypothesis of the incorporation mechanism of the impurity on K2 SO4 crystals planes has been deduced.
