Abstract

Reproductive medicine is a scientific phenomenon of extraordinary legal interest. Its impact is related to the increase in infertility rates in the developed world. Spain is one of the countries which has one of the lowest birth rates in the world. Current reproductive technology implies a change in the traditional human reproduction process and in the concept of family. This article analyzes the law passed in Spain on assisted human reproduction techniques from a legal-medical point of view and compares it with the European legislative framework.
