Zusammenfassung
The Descent from the Cross is a scene that is part of the cycle of the Passion and lies between the Crucifixion and the Lament over the Dead Christ. It narrates the episode in which the body of Christ is pulled down from the cross by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, helped at times by the use of stairs to carry out this action.
