Abstract

A titanium:sapphire laser oscillator has been built using commercially available ultra-broadband optics. It emits 1.3 nJ energy pulses, with 5.9 fs duration and a spectral bandwidth larger than oneoctave (>570-1200 nm). It is the first two-optical cycles pulse oscillator built in Spain and, given its characteristics, it will be possible to stabilize its carrier-envelope offset phase.
