Abstract
lntroduction: The present study is based on the measurement of morfologic bone changes and the discrepancy in TMJ condyle position in TMJ Syndrome by TMJ X-Rays. Material and Method: A cross-sectional, descriptive, epidemiological study was performed from transcranial TMJ X-Rays The inclusion criterions: were headaches. muscle pain or contraction of at least three masticatory muscles, TMJ sounds and joint pain. A descriptive, analitical, and sensibility study was preformed. Results: The prevalence of morfologic bone changes was 84% and in 82% appeared a discrepency in TMJ condyle position. Erosion and subluxation were the most frecuent signs. Conclusions: The latero oblicue transcraneal proyection shows morfologic bone changes and a discrepency in TMJ condylar position in 98% of the TMJ syndrome patients studied.
