Resumo
lntroduction. We present a bibliographic review in wich we study the impact of the spanish dental publications in the scientific world through the data banks and bibliographic sources. Methods and materials: we have established the number of publications related with dentistry edited in spanish, 85 in total, and consulted the seventeen data banks available in Spain. Results and discussion. The results indicate: first, there are no spanish dental journals in the international data banks, second, the spanish dental publications have no international impact, and third, the acess to information is done, everyday more, through tha data banks. lt is concluded that it is essential that our journals and editorials join the data banks.
