Abstract
This paper describes the epidemiologic factors associated to dental agenesis and reviews the genetic ethiology and its influence on the diagnosis and treatment planning. Different therapeutic options are discussed with a multidisciplinary approach integrating orthodontics, periodontics/dental implants and prosthodontics.
