Resum

The training needs of primary school teachers (kindergarten, primary, secondary school and high school) are of concern for public administrations in charge of vocational training. Consequently, the outcome of its assessment is a starting point for making decisions about the amount and type of offer made. Thus the purpose of this study is to assess the training needs of non-university teachers in the Autonomous Community of Madrid tight professional performance through the perception of those involved. The methodology consists of two distinct phases, the first a qualitative study based on interviews and focus groups and, in addition, a quantitative study in order to give consistency and to generalize the results. Following identification variables such teachers as age, sex, stage in which academic qualifications taught and identifies two types of teachers who perceive their training needs in different ways. The valuation of the last three training sessions received and the areas of greatest interest to the teacher, school and educational level are discussed in detail in the article.
