Abstract

Organized crime, drug trafficking, corruption, trafficking in human beings, smuggling and arms trafficking, among others, remain a challenge for the internal security of the European Union. The expansion of transnational crime has become an urgent challenge that requires a clear and comprehensive response. Hence, the recent measures to try to resolve some of the shortcomings that have occurred in the fight against organized crime. We approached this study the concept of organized crime, features, and the instruments used by the European Union for their neutralization.
