Resumo

Open Access has become a practical fashion for scientific journals and academic community. Usually we found analyses based on quantitative impact of Open Access as a trend indicator. More rarely, we found Open Access as a linked object to other actors in the process of scientific output, such as a particular ethos, the possibilities that Internet has opened, free software, and the role played by the large publishing conglomerates in the field of scientific publishing. In this article I analyze Open Access, its relationship with these different actors and how each one of them can shape scientific knowledge
