Resumo
Oral implantology emerged as a substitute of pre-prosthetic surgery techniques, especially in complex treatments with significant resorption of the alveolar process. Currently the demand has spread to virtually all types of cases, from fully edentulous to partially edentulous, or in cases of tooth loss unit offering a very good solution both functional and aesthetic if the patient refuses treatment. Though when not done properly the procedures and techniques of the implantologic treatment, may arise complications, and we must know them. The main objective of this study is to know, through the review of the literature, infectious complications and adverse events associated with infections in Oral Implantology.
