Abstract

This paper presents an approach to the problems of Economic Policy from the perspective of Multiple Criteria Decision Making. Using the clasical IS/LM model as the initial reference, several alternative techniques are applied in order to obtain optimal policies, depending on the multiple criteria previously defined. Several possible extensions of the model are presented, including a proposal of empirical application to the Spanish economy, using an econometric model.
