Resum

This paper shows the data related to the sandflies that have been collected in different locations in the south-west area of Madrid Community since 2011, area where from 2009 has been confirmed the existence of an outbreak of human leishmaniasis. Throughout (2011, 2012 and 2013) a total of 78,506 specimens belonging to five species were captured. These include most notably the high presence of Phlebotomus perniciosus Newstead, 1911, followed by Sergentomyia minuta (Rondani, 1843). In much smaller quantities specimens of Phlebotomus ariasi Tonnoir, 1921, Phlebotomus papatasi (Scopoli, 1786) and Phlebotomus sergenti Parrot, 1917 were found. The abundance, species richness and density of Phlebotomus perniciosus were studied.
