Resumen
The old aspiration of the Academy which belongs to that which the XVIII used to call the “illustrious males”, takes shape now in the Diccionario Biográfico Español, set up by the current director of the Royal History Academy, Gonzalo Anes y Álvarez de Castrillón, scientific director of the project. Its aim is to respond to the need of a work of this dimension, already in existence in the majority of the countries surrounding us.
