Abstract

Twenty years after proposing a new role for mediators from a narrative approach, Sara Cobb ́s circular-narrative model has become one of the great schools of mediation for conflict management. In her latest work, Speaking of Violence, makes the basis for the foundation of a critical narrative theory and offers aesthetic as a new framework for ethics in conflicts resolution practices. The aim of this paper is to outline the evolution of narrative mediation and to present the innovations proposed by Cobb.
