Abstract
The Spanish Parliament has recently passed a new Act on International Judicial Cooperation in Civil Matters (Act 29/2015 of July 30), repealing the previous rules, dating from 1881. This paper analyzes the new regulation of the recognition and enforcement of foreign judicial decisions. It focuses on the main changes and innovations, not only in general terms (the system has been fully modernized and aligned with many of the advances already experienced in the field of European civil procedural law), but also in the specific scopes of recognition, enforcement and exequatur proceedings.
