Resumen

The need to use techniques of conflict resolution, such as mediation, is introduced herein as an alternative to court as well as an appropriate line of approaching different cultures to common interests. The increase of conflicts and the consolidation of mediation in an international level have favored its implementation in Spain with a judicial framework that enables its use and application. Mediation has developed and diversified its scopes of performance, allowing that people and institutions may become the leading parties, through a neutral third party or mediator who acts as a bridge between the parties for the pursuit of alternatives and long-lasting agreements. This alternative in conflict resolution helps to canalize the energies and resources of the professionals towards the caring given to the patients found in the different missions that the military health has been entrusted with. Increasing the quality of the caring given to the people being taken care of and encouraging military health in nonmilitary missions
