Abstract
The appearance of root resorption is a relatively frequent complication in orthodontic treatment. Due to considerable individual variation and the multitude of etiopathogenic factors involved, it is difficult to predict. Radiographic techniques ore the most useful tool for diagnosing orthodontics-induced root resorption. lt is necessary to take preventative measures before, during and after orthodontic treatment to reduce the prevalence of these complications, to make a prognosis and to ensure appropriate treatment of the affected teeth.
