From an evolutionary point of view, imitation plays a fundamental role in the learning of the specie and the cultural development. This imitative ability seems seriously affected in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. That is why it is essential to develop programs that will help to strengthen these actions in order to improve their functional learning. In this article, an empowerment program of imitative skills is presented. It lasted three months, in which the development of motor, functional, symbolic and social imitation is observed. The methodology used is a study of three cases of students with developmental delay specially on the two areas involved in Autism Spectrum Disorder according to DSM V (APA, 2013). An evaluative type of study of cases has been chosen because it involves a previous description, an explanation and a final judgment (Latorre, del Rincón & Arnal, 2005).
