Zusammenfassung
The anonymous "Comedia Hipólita" (Valencia, 1521) has been considered by critics as an early example of Renaissance theatre influenced by Torres Naharro's model. On the contrary, we propose that "Comedia Hipólita" is an interesting dramatic 'experiment' 'prior' or 'parallel' to the activity of Torres Naharro. This hypothesis has crucial consequences that will provide a more adequate contextualization of the innovative work of the Extremaduran author.
