Zusammenfassung
The article provides a snapshot of the political party system in Catalonia, setting the features on which it rotates. Initially, it presents an analysis of the evolution of the party system from the first autonomous elections to the last regional elections held in November 2010. The second part, the article examines the weight that each of the Catalan forces has had in each of the elections that were held from 1980 to 2010, setting a number of variables present in the party system: dominance of center-right axis and nationalist parties, the dual vote and abstention levels
