Abstract

A variety of pathologies affecting the oral cavity can be present in dogs and cats younger than one year of age. The aim of this article is providing a brief review of the most frequent conditions as well as the basic tools for their diagnosis and treatment. The oral examination during the first visits to the veterinarian are the key for the diagnosis.
