Abstract
This article discusses, in a microhistory approach, the conflicts between traditional parental authority and new values inspired by the revolution of sexuality as they occurred in the urban context during the first decades of the twentieth century. Analysing a case of bride�s kidnapping, it is intended to show the limits of repression of deviant behaviours and the complex use and appropriation of discourses by the Madrid�s popular neighbourhoods inhabitants, when the Spanish capital city was experimenting an intense social and cultural transformation.
