Abstract
This paper presents a general study of the sharing economy. Firstly, this work will analyse the sharing economy by responding to several key issues. The paper will then proceed with a system dynamics analysis of sharing economy platforms. By applying such method, it will enable us to visualise exactly the sort of interconnections going on between variables and how all these together form loops that have an eventual impact, perhaps positive or negative on sharing economy platforms. Ultimately, the goal of this investigation is to develop a solid foundation in order to build an econometric model in the future once there is sufficient available data published from the sharing economy activities.
