Abstract

The Level of Service Inventory-Revised (LSI-R; Andrews & Bonta, 1995) is a particularly useful risk/need tool to predict the risk of recidivism and, therefore, to deal with such risk through the factors and needs identified by the instrument. Given its relevance and international prestige, this research examines the psychometric properties of this instrument in a Spanish prison sample. The results obtained indicate that the LSI-R allows reliable and valid assessment of recidivism in this type of population.
