The study of the bookbinders that worked for the Royal Academies is a task that is yet to be completed. The Bibliopegia group, through a research project of the UCM, has begun to study the bookbinders that developed their activity for the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, from its creation in the XXI century, consulting the books of Accounts, invoices and delivery notes of the Archive of the Royal Academy. The types of bookbinders were analyzed, the type of bookbinding, the type of books, the types of materials to which these bookbindings were addressed, prices of each bookbinding and sales prices of books already bound, dates of establishments The different workshops of the same bookbinder, their descendants, etc., that is to say a valuable information that helps us to know as the bookbinders that worked for this institution.
