Resumen
The project is aimed to show the results of the research "Development of transverse competence by students through tutorials organised in small groups as a teaching activity performed at University. Fundamentals, methods and assessment" supported by the Vicerrectorado of Development of Teaching Quality at Complutense University in Madrid (2010). This research continues the ones performed previously by the Professors Fernández Vallina (2006) and González Jiménez (2006, 2007, 2010). The project shows basic principles of university tutorials, considered as a procedure which allows students to have a command of both knowledge and development of transverse skills through interdisciplinary subjects, necessary for highly qualified professionals. The research intends to explain the importance of applying the transverse competence to high education, especially at university. This kind of competence could be taught and learnt at university thanks to the resources that tutorials of students organised in small groups provide.
