La difusión del poder y su organización sociopolítica en Oriente Medio

Resumen
Uno de los rasgos que caracterizan la complejidad de Oriente Medio es su estructura de poder difusa, constituida por una compleja urdimbre organizada en torno a las tres dimensiones geopolíticas fundamentales (local, regional y global), a través de las cuales se tejen los hilos de una trama formada por unidades sociopolíticas, actores y procesos que reclaman diferentes campos ejecutivos del poder (político, económico, militar, tecnológico, religioso-moral, familiar y social) con justificaciones y legitimaciones diversas (tradicional, carismática, legal-racional). Con el objetivo de proporcionar una imagen básica de esta difusión, el artículo se ha dividido en cuatro epígrafes: el primero es una breve introducción; el segundo trata de ordenar la tipología de las diferentes unidades sociopolíticas en los tres niveles; a continuación se explican los rasgos básicos que han generado la peculiar difusión del poder; y finalmente, con la ayuda de la sociología figuracional de Norbert Elias, se establecen algunos tipos de juegos entre actores políticos que pueden ayudar a comprender las diversas configuraciones conflictivas de la región.
