Abstract
Dimensional Analysis is considered nowadays an established branch of a mathematical nature in the Foundations of Physics. In this paper, its basis, the π Theorem of Dimensional Analysis is reconstructed from E. Buckingham's various nonsystematic formulations. Finally, the need for rewriting its history is advanced.
