Abstract
In this work we intend to make known the figure of Marine Captain Antonio Adriano Tejero y Pizarro, born in Peñalsordo in 1843 and with an intense military career overseas. We make a tour of his 31 years of service, since joining the Navy in 1864 as a soldier until his retirement in 1895, citing what were his trips and the ships in which he embarked; The decorations awarded him and some of the missions in which he participated, such as the Ten Years War, known as the first of the three wars of independence in Cuba. We also report some daily aspects of her family life, which, because he is the uncle-great-grandfather of the coauthor, Manuela, we know firsthand that she has treasured them thanks to oral transmission within her family
