Abstract
The authors study the ophthalmoscopic features, colour test and visual fields defects found in 170 parasellar syndromes. Middleaged women are affected more frequently than other groups. Pituitary adenomas are the more common mass followed by craniopharyngiomas. Superior bitemporal cuadrantanopsia is the more frequent visual field defect and band atrophy is the prevalent optic disc lesion.
