Abstract

Prehospital assessment of patients with potential acute stroke immediately before on arrival to emergency department is a key factor. Prehospital evaluation a key role in both, symptoms recognition and clinical stabilization. Furthermore it is the first step in the acute stroke protocol. The knowledge of basic prehospital care and the stroke code activacion criteria is required to treat patients as soon as possible and in the best clinical conditions. At hospital arrival, patients will immediately be assessed by the stroke team and treated with revascularization therapies or/and admitted to the stroke unit.
