Résumé

Os empreendedores são os principais criadores de emprego que facilitam a revitalização económica e social dos países. A situação de crise económico-financeira e social que ocorreu nos últimos anos resultou em um novo cenário que, levanta a necessidade especial de aprofundar os determinantes do empreendedorismo. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a atitude ou intenção que quem parte para o empreendedorismo, bem como as principais motivações e dificuldades para realizar um projeto de negócio na sociedade de hoje. Os resultados mostram que a grande maioria dos inquiridos têm uma atitude positiva para o empreendedorismo. Conseguir autonomia no trabalho, auto-realização e encontrar uma alternativa ao desemprego são as principais motivações, mas o medo do fracasso e do ambiente social desfavorável, restringe-los no momento de empreender.
