Resumo
The aim of this study is to confirm if the MIPS-Millon Index of Personality Styles can be used as a measurement of normal personality in Brazilian popula- tion. We translated and adapted this instrument from English to Portuguese lan- guage, attempting to respect a norms proposal for the International Tests Commission (ITC) and to based in the process of adaptation for Spanish popu- lation. The research has been carried out with 804 participants, university stu- dents from a university in the South of Brazil of 33 different degree. The fin- dings point to a MIPS which can be used as a measurement of the normal per- sonality and this gives of hope to follow the process of standardization of MIPS for the Brazilian population.
