Abstract

This work begins with a presentation of the leading figure Alfonso Fernández de Madrigal, El Tostado, and its relevance in the XVth century in Castilla. Afterwards, it focuses on his translation of De las crónicas o tienpos by Eusebius-Jerome giving to know an unnoticed interpolation until now, which was introduced following Eusebio’s prologue, at the actual beginning of the work. The interpolation, which occupies the sixth chapter, it is a translation of the Genesis based on the Latin version of Septuaginta. The authors edit the text with critical notes and sources, presenting in parallel the original Latin text and its translation.
