Resumen

This paper analyses the evolution of European Union State aid regulation in the air transport industry over the last decades, through influence of the air transport market liberalization in the EU, the restructure national airlines and the phenomenon of low cost airlines with operation in the European regional airports, with particular attention to the impact on competition the control of State aid by the Commission, the effects of guidelines and the judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union about State aid in the air transport industry.
