Zusammenfassung

This paper studies the lexical and syntactic properties of the preposition entre and the constructions that entre heads. Based on the intrinsic lexical properties of the preposition can be described the syntactic relations that are established between the SSPP with entre and the arguments that these constructions are oriented. The locative and collective values, internal in the semantics of entre, allow to reflect in the predicative syntax the nature of this type of noun phrases, because they are expressions of «position inside of a whole». This expression describes a mode in which is manifest an entity from a point of view «locative», «reciprocal» or «summative», to which we add two more relations: «divisive» and «optional». The syntactic representation of such relationships can be translated on the basis of the typical logical operations of the Theory of Sets and the particularities of the types of sentences in which those are inserted can be analyzed in terms of the restrictions imposed by the grammar of these peculiar constructions
