Abstract

The life cycle of the parasites haemosporidios in birds can be influenced by different factors such as the behavior or the biological effectiveness of the host, the environment and of course the synthesis of different proteins necessary to complete the cycle. The objective of this work will deepen in these aspects, all of them related to the host-parasite interaction. We will determine both the possible relationship between the prevalence of infection and the individual's behavior as the speed of the moulting ave and the prevalence of infection. On the other hand, we will demonstrate the expansion capability of the malaria parasites in tropical areas subject to deforestation. Finally, we will identify and analyze new genes antimalarials that can be used in future treatments for this disease.
