Resumo

Automated decision and planning tolos can increment the effectiveness of maritime Search And Rescue (SAR) operations. Hence, the scientific community and companies are developing new probabillistic modelling and vehiche-trajectory optimization algorithms to be integrated in their mission systems. The objective of this work is to describe the main features of a new maritime SAR tool developed by AIRBUS and UCM researchers, which incorporates several evaluation strategies, optimizes the vehicle trajectory with genetic algorithms and the movement of the electro-optic sensor (used in the search) with simmulated annealing, and allows the operator to compare and select the best solutions according to different critera.
