Abstract
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common demyelinating disease and the main cause of non-traumatic neurological disability in young adults. It is a clinically heterogeneous disease, including motor, cognitive and fatigue symptoms. This is the result of a combination of the main pathophysiological processes involved: inflammation, demyelination, axonal damage and neurodegeneration.
